VGS Shaan

For young adults with disabilities, graduating from high school elicits the same anxieties that all students have and more. Most K-12 schools are required to provide certain protections and services for students with disabilities; once one ages out of the school system, it can be difficult to find the right job or other next step.

Shaan, a participant on the VGS Team at our Southwest Cleveland location, started working with us early in the fall of 2024. When he joined VGS, he was shy and unsure of himself. Today, he is an impressively productive member of our team who takes pride in his work and stays on top of his goals. Shaan kept to himself when he arrived, but he now has many friends and has built strong relationships with both his peers and the VGS staff. Shaan is a great co-worker who manages to stay on task and make his team laugh at the same time.

Shaan’s goals include working in a fully integrated setting and proving to the larger community that people with disabilities are a joy to work and hang out with and have an important place in our world.
