Vocational Guidance Services is deeply saddened by the death of Bob Gries. Bob has served on the VGS board of directors since 1967; the impact he had on Ohioans with disabilities in his 56 years of board service is innumerable. We are so grateful for Bob’s dedication, leadership, input of ideas, and generosity. Bob served on more than 40 nonprofit boards in his lifetime. He was a true champion of Cleveland and of those in need, a civic leader, an advisor, and friend; he also told the best stories. His philanthropy transformed so many institutions and lives – VGS is beyond grateful to be among them and so thankful for his decades-long leadership of VGS. Bob will forever inspire our work, inform our idea of what a leader truly is, and he will always be missed.
