Announcing Matthew D. Joyce as Chair of the VGS Board of Directors
CLEVELAND, OH (March 2, 2021) – Vocational Guidance Services (VGS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew D. Joyce as the Chair of the Board of Directors. Joyce succeeds Joseph G. DuBois of Oswald Companies, who served as Chair since 2018.
“It has been my honor to serve as the chair of the VGS Board these past three years,” said DuBois. “As we transition our board leadership, Matt brings the perfect blend of executive experiences and passion for all that VGS does, to help solidify our brand, and in the development and execution of the next phase of our strategic plan. I look forward to serving with Matt as we build on VGS’ long and successful history of serving our NE Ohio communities.”

Joyce is Vice President of Corporate Ventures at The Lubrizol Corporation, a global company committed to improving at least 2 billion lives by 2028 through solutions for health, cleanliness, wellness, and fitness. His areas of responsibility include marketing, sales, and innovative ventures to scale businesses that deliver sustainable growth and address unmet market needs. In addition to his new role as VGS’ Board Chair, Joyce also serves on the Board of Trustees for Benedictine High School.
Joyce, who joined the VGS Board of Directors in 2016, commenced his term as Board Chair by unanimous vote on February 18, 2021.
