Alan

Alan started his VGS journey in a custodial role and made the transition to packaging and assembly in 2022. There were challenges when he first began, he needed frequent reminders to stay on task and meet his production goals. Sonita, Alan’s DSP, recognized that he had the skills to succeed at his job, but would benefit from encouragement and structure and developed a plan to guide him according to both his strengths and weaknesses. Today, Alan is confident and focused and a significant asset to his team. He has recently taken on two new responsibilities – distributing materials to his co-workers and constructing shipping boxes with great success. Alan’s positive energy, warm personality, and signature dance moves make him a very special member of the VGS team. Alan’s journey is a powerful reminder that with persistence, and the right support and encouragement, everyone can succeed at work.
